This made me smile (and slightly nervous)
No getting out of it now - my name is on the entry list: http://www.sportresult.com/federations/fisa/download/World_Rowing_Championships_2009,_Poznan_EEListByEv_21_LW4x.cp.pdf
Glad to hear you're sounding a bit more positive! Not sure about the "nerves" thing...when I'm racing I keep thinking I should be nervous but for some reason it doesn't really happen...very briefly before I get into the car, as I'm donning my helmet and gloves, but then I'm away and too busy concentrating on the next couple of seconds to think about being nervous....but my mate that I share the drive with gets really wound up beforehand, can't eat, just wants to be alone...different strokes for different folks, I guess...or maybe I just don't have enough imagination!
Whatever - rooting for you, kid....so you're racing when, exactly...Wednesday?
Having started rowing in 1999 at university, I was selected to race the World Championships for GB for the 1st time ten years later in Poznan. A late starter to international racing, this is the story of how I'm learning fast...
